STAINLESS STEEL BLOGGERS

Last Thursday (10/13/2011) we had our 30 day walk-thru with our PM and I will blog more about that in another post.  However, I couldn't wait to share the following information with you.  As you all know we had various issues with our dishwasher and last week we finally received a dishwasher that works.  Unfortunatly, the stainless steel was stained and discolored.  I attempted to use a stainless steel cleaner that I use on the other stainless steel appliances, but it didn't work.  So I brought it to the PM's attention and told him that I was very satisfied with the operations of the dishwasher; however, I was not happy with the exterior look of the stainless steel.  He said he would look into it and get back to me.  A few hours later, he arrives with a shopping bag full of goodies.  Within minutes the stainless steel on the dishwasher looked brand new.  I asked him how he did it and he handed me a E-Coth that he purchased at the local hardware store.

I was amazed that no chemical were used, only water...and you can use the product over and over again.  Another THANK YOU to our PM!!!

We purchased some star microfiber clothes from a local "warehouse" store. I need to go look and see what the name was, but these have been miracle cleaners. I use just water and the cloth and nothing else. I had stuff burned on the stove that a scrubbing sponge and baking soda couldn't get off. I used just the cloth and it came up easily. I have yet to find a better product. I love using natural products and as few chemicals as possible. For the most part I use baking soda, vinegar, borax, etc.

I think the cloths I have may be these: http://www.starfibers.com/ or ones very similar. I have a yellow one and a green one that came in the special package I purchased with the floor sweeper.

We didn't get stainless in our new house, but I will check them out to see if they work on other parts of the house, too.

Thanks for Sharing!! =) I have SS in my kitchen. And when I pray the product on the fridge, some of it always gets on the floor, making it slick. BLECH!

Fantastic information! It's better and less expensive. Win-win.

Thanks for the info. I have used a lot of different products and hate wasting money and using chemicals. I'll have to try these. Yes, stainless steel is a pain to keep clean for sure. When I get stains on mine that won't come off I mix baking soda and dish soap to a paste consistency, rub it on a with a cloth and wipe off with a wet towel. Then dry with another towel. It's a process but it takes everything off it even annoying water stains.

I meant to post this before. One of the items on our 30 day was scratches on our stainless appliances. The magician that came to take care of them used WD40 sprayed heavily on a paper towel and then lightly rubbed the stainless going with the grain. The scratches were gone as well as all the finger prints and they were very shiny too
