DIY PROJECT #1

At the other house in the kitchen we had tip out drawers in front of the sink, which we kept the stopper, sponges, rings, etc.  However, this option was not included in with the kitchen cabinet package in the new house.  So we bought a kit and installed them ourselves. The install instructions are very easy to follow and in 10 easy steps you are done.  It only took about an hour and it probably would have been faster if we could find our power tools. LOL!!!  We plan to install the trays in our bathroom vanities as well.

Next time we will take some before and after pictures.

It was really easy to remove the front panel, which was
attached to the cabinet with the above clips.

Hmmmm....wonder what our next DIY project will be.  Maybe we will finally hang the shades on the windows.

Very cool. How did you get the boards off the front - do they just pry off?

@Gina K - Good question. We updated the post with a picture of the clips that were used to hold the front panel onto the cabinet. It was really easy to remove the front panel, but it took a little bit more time to remove the clips because we didn't want to damage the panel.

We were just talking to our new neighbors and she was telling us she was disappointed that the false panel didn't tilt out...we mentioned we had seen a kit to do it and we hear that it is very easy to install the kit...thank you for sharing this great idea...I can now add that to my growing list of things to do after we get our keys...assuming I ever finish installing the 9 ceiling fans!!!

Glad I could help...and there is more to come...I love diy stuff. We have a 'to do list' a mile long; however, I love that we do it ourselves. It makes our home fell more like 'our' home.
