One of the reasons we decided to move was to be a part of a community. We are going into our 4th month of watching our community blossom from 18 empty lots to 2 lots complete, 4 lots almost complete, 4 lots started, and 8 more to go. We were the 7th house to join the community and since then all but 3 lots are sold. At this rate, our community should be done by the end of the year. Watching and experiencing the transition has been amazing. We owe it all to our outstanding RH team - PM and Sales Rep. (did we mention she is about to have a baby any day now) that have been very supportive and understanding of our needs and wants.
We love finding out which lot is going to break ground next and what RH floor plan is going to be built. To help us keep it all straight, we created a new page to the blog "OUR COMMUNITY". This page will reflect the community layout and some info on each of the lots. We only have info on a few of the lots and we plan to update the page as we receive more information. So if you are interested, check back often to see the updates.
As of right now, we are not aware of any of our neighbors blogging. However, hopefully, if they are they will join the e-Ryan Home community.

HW - you are so right about the thrill of joining a community. We lived in a small town in New Jersey where everyone knew everyone and we were active in community events. We moved to Delaware and live in an "area" where things were just not the same. We were busy with our girls' activities and sports which kept us quite busy so I think we kind of forgot about it. This past week we were driving back from visiting the new house and realized that we are again moving into a community again. We have meet a ton of new neighbors and everyone is fantastic, but even more so, the town we will be living in has that small town feel to it and they have parades and fireworks and a peach festival and crab feast and music on main street on Friday nights during the summer...all those things that make small town America so special. We are even more excited about or soon to be new HOME!!!
Your idea about having a community page is a great idea. We too ask our sales rep about any new sales or potential sales everytime we are there and keep track of which lot will be breaking ground next and what model will be going up. Chelly will be happy to hear that a Courtland will be breaking ground this Wednesday.
There is another builder in our development who broke ground almost exactly when we did...they are still in the framing stage...have not even finished the second floor much less the trusses and roof. RH has completed framed our house and 2 others and I would be willing to bet the Courtland breaking ground this week will be finished framing before that one is...WAY TO GO RYAN HOMES!!!
Thank you HW for creating the Community page! That was great! That is so nice to see that Courtland it looks great and to know that they are building another one right across the street from you is awesome!
I really hope our neighborhood is like that as well. We met briefly one couple in our neighborhood, and we have waived at a few others. I think because our visits are limited to once a week right after work and its been so hot, not many people have been out and about. We only have one house completed near us the others that are completed on our street are 4 lots down on both ends....However there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the lot next to us sold so at least we will have one neighbor and house completed.
I am so happy to hear that your neighborhood is just about full! That is awesome to know thay theyu will not be building for many more months or years. I hope they sell the rest of the lots on my street soon too, that woukd be awesome not to have so much construction going on.
Anywho, we are almost there and hopefully in the next couple of months once we get settled into our new home, I will be creating a new blog about my "journey to our BABY" lol...
@ BD I am sooooo happy we chose to build with Ryan! I mean they have overall really impressed me, no wonder they have been in business so long and continue to do so well even in the midst of a reccession!!!!! :) Woop Woop to RH!!!
