Brick work is complete...
We stopped by the house again on Sunday (07/24) to show the progress off to a few family members and we were so excited to see...our service door was installed (see picture below, taken on 07/27). We also met another neighbor (they are the 1st ones to close in our community and just moved in). We were very pleased to find out that they have a little boy only 1 month older than our daughter and that she is expecting another baby in October. Yeah...we were soooo hoping to have other kids in the neighborhood.
The PM contacted us on Tuesday (07/26) to let us know that they are done hanging the siding. We were so excited, that we ate our dinner and jumped into the car and took off to the site. We didn't have our camera so we took a few pictures with the mobile phone; however, because the sun was setting the quality of the pictures were not so good...so we went back out to the site on Wednesday (07/27) to take a few pictures.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH RYAN HOMES!!!!! |
Oh and we forgot to mention, we have shutters.
Our PM called us on Friday (07/29) with our weekly status update, the worker bees are done with the drywall and over the weekend they will begin to prime and on Monday they will start the trim work.
Oh one more thing, we locked in to an interest rate last week....4.75%. We would love for it to be lower, but we didn't want to wait around to see what happens.
Now enough about us...we have to go catch up on what everyone else has been up to for the past week. Happy Building everyone!!!!!!

You have a very beautiful home there. The brickwork looks superb.
WOOHOO!! Congrats on the rate! It's still an awesome rate! And the house is beautiful (and huge!). =)
Welcome back HW, we missed you soooo much! ;)
Your "big ole" house is looking great! I love your service door, it looks awesome. If I ever build or move again I think that is a feature I would like. Can't wait to see the inside! :)
It looks great! wow, that is a lot of brick...I didn't realize it was completely covered on the front if you chose brick instead of stone.
WOW...It looks fantastic...we have missed your posts too. I still think it is interesting how they do different things in a different order. Our siding has been pretty much done for over a week now, but we haven't even started the insulation yet inside and you are already finished with the drywall...go figure.
btw...forgot to mention...I love the little keystones above all your windows...it's a small thing, but I think it adds a really nice look. We have them around the decorative round vents, but were a little disappointed to discover that our windows would not have them too.
