IDEAPAINT: DRY-ERASE BOARD PAINT

IDEAPAINT is a paint that creates a dry-erase board anywhere on anything.  We saw this on "How I Made My Millions" on CNBC and thought that this is a great idea, especially for a kids room or even a home office.
Beware of the cost...according to IdeaPaint website the paint is - $175-$199 per kit, which covers 50 sq ft.  Also, the paint is now available at Lowes in smaller quantities, but it is not much cheaper.

We haven't decided if we plan to use the paint in our new house; however, we just thought it is a great idea and we wish would have thought of it first.

I had a friend who used the chalk board paint on her fridge. It was really cool. She had different color chalk and had their grocery list, and notes on it. VERY nice. Never heard of dry erase paint though. I may need to go check out some of those links! TFS!

It is a great idea, but if the kids are little little...be careful...you may find that they don't know the difference between the write on wall and your family room wall...just throwing that out there.

LOL BD. I had the same thought.\

We have tiny dry erase board we have on the fridge here. However, this fridge stays with the rental. We want to get a stainless steel one. Not many things actually magnetize well to stainless steel. So I was thinking for the a place in the mudroom (a nice sized one maybe)

You mean regular walls aren't meant to be colored on....HMMP can someone explain that to my 2 year old?! I think he missed the memo.

Its a very cool idea! Thanks for sharing! My daughter (who's and angel) would LOVE this in her room. Something to think about :)

I did our old fridge in the Chalkboard paint. I used it all the time! Grocery list, dinner menu, messages etc.
