NO TURNING BACK NOW...AND MET ANOTHER NEIGHBOR

Hooray, what a beautiful blue sky and day for ground breaking day.  We stopped by the lot this afternoon to catch a quick peek at the progress.  Also, we met another neighbor - this one will live next door to our house in the Esquire house.  She is already planning on adding a fence...to keep the deer out of her yard.  We can't wait to meet more of our neighbors.  So far everyone has been very nice an inviting.  It is so nice that we will all be moving in within weeks of one another.

The following are a few pictures taken today.  We probably won't make it back to the property until Friday, which by then they plan to be done with all of the digging.

Ha! (giggle). If your neighbor thinks a measly fence can keep deer out, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell her! Actually, no, scratch that. I have a townhouse I'd like to sell her. :) I'd love to have deer in my yard, and I hope your backyard is peaceful and tranquil and full of wildlife. Looks great so far!

Beautiful blue sky indeed!! I'd have to agree with the Ravenna Ranter...they better make it a 6 foot fence to keep the deer out. There were several deer around here who jumped over fences at the cemetery that were pretty high (it was a story because they hurt themselves on the spikes) but it is something I definitely remember they can do! I'm excited about the fact that all of our neighbors too will be new to the neighborhood. We will already have that in common instead of us being the newcomers on the block in an established neighborhood.

@Shara - We can't believe that your Waverly is almost complete...how do you sleep at night? It is beautiful. Please keep blogging...we love reading your blog.

@Noey814, RR, Becky - LOL

Regarding the fence, we thought the same thing; however, it is our understanding that she is a big gardener so we guess she is trying to protect her plants.

Personally, one of the reasons we chose our lot was to be closer to nature and to wildlife. We are sooo looking forward to looking out of the morning room to see the deer, rabbits, birds, etc.

Also, after taking another look at the pictures, we just realized that our lot has an awesome view. Now, we know in a few months part of that view is going to reflect a few more houses, but even with that we are surrounded by trees and we are so looking forward to autumn to see all of the colors that will surround us.

@BD - We are soooo looking forward to watching every moment of your house be built.

Today was way more exciting than we thought it would be. This morning we were like kids on Christmas morning and couldn't wait to get to the site to see the progress.
